Double Win for Phonexia at the Manager of the Year Awards

On October 6, 2026, the winners of this year's Manager of the Year awards were announced at a ceremony in Brno. Phonexia is proud to share that both of its nominees came out on top:

• our CEO Markéta Lőrinczy won in the category Manager in a Specific Industry,

• and our CPO Jiří Nezval won in the category Young Manager under 35. 

It is also a rare achievement. According to the Czech Management Association, two nominees from the same company had not appeared among the competition's finalists for at least the past 10 years. 

About the Manager of the Year awards 

The Manager of the Year competition is organized by the Czech Management Association (ČMA) to recognize outstanding managers and leaders across the Czech Republic.  

Founded in 1993, the prestigious award evaluates nominees based on their long-term business results, innovative management methods, and contribution to the Czech economy. Candidates compete across distinct categories before an overall winner is selected by an expert evaluation committee. 

Markéta Lőrinczy, CEO: Manager in a Specific Industry 

Markéta joined Phonexia in 2017 and worked her way up from human resources to become CEO in 2023. Under her leadership, the company went through a major transformation, moving from a loss to long-term growth, which culminated in its sale to the international investor Crescendo Equity Partners. Markéta continues to lead Phonexia after the transaction. 

"I see this award first and foremost as recognition of the work we do together with the whole Phonexia team. I don't take it as a personal success, because behind every manager stands a team of people: their trust, their energy, and their everyday work."

Jiří Nezval, CPO: Young Manager under 35 

Jiří's award highlights Phonexia's ability to develop talent from within. He joined the company in 2017 as a technical consultant and has led the product division as Chief Product Officer since 2019. Today he oversees the development of speech technology solutions used by customers in more than 60 countries. 

"This award is proof for me that we are a great team at Phonexia and that we do our job well. It is also a big motivation for the coming period, when we are launching products for completely new markets and facing new big challenges."

A win for the whole team
