Do you enjoy making sense of data and building the data infrastructure that drives company-wide decision-making? Would you like to help build a new SaaS product from the ground up?
We’re looking for a BI Engineer to join the Phonexia Voice Guardian team. Voice Guardian is our new cloud-based platform for voice biometrics and fraud prevention in bank contact centers.
Your Role
As a BI Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Designing, building, and managing the data solution for the Voice Guardian platform,
collecting and processing product, billing, and performance data,
preparing data for reporting and visualization, including dashboards for Product, Engineering, and Sales,
integrating and exporting data to customers’ and partners’ systems,
ensuring data quality, consistency, and auditability, especially for billing,
gradually expanding the data solution to connect Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
Skills You Will Need
To excel in this role, you should be proficient in:
Experience designing data solutions, including dimensional modeling (Kimball, star/snowflake schema) or Data Vault. You understand when different approaches make sense.
Strong knowledge of databases, including relational and document databases and their trade-offs.
Experience with data tools and orchestration, such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or similar.
Python skills for data processing, automation, and integrations.
Experience with cloud data services. We use AWS, so experience with S3, Athena, Glue, Redshift, or Aurora is a plus. Experience with another cloud platform is also welcome.
A strong focus on data quality and accuracy — especially when it comes to billing, where every cent matters.
Good English communication skills, including the ability to write documentation and communicate with international colleagues and customers.
Nice to have:
Experience with streaming data and Kafka,
experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines,
knowledge of BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Superset, or QuickSight,
experience with lakehouse technologies and data formats, such as Parquet, Iceberg, or Delta Lake,
experience with data observability or usage-based billing in SaaS,
experience integrating CRM, marketing, or financial data,
understanding of data privacy and security, including GDPR and multi-tenant environments.
What Makes This Role Unique?
You won’t be maintaining legacy reports. You’ll design the Voice Guardian data layer from the ground up and have a real say in how it is built.
You’ll work in a small, experienced team where your work has a visible impact on billing, platform performance, and the future of the product.
